The products analysed are hot bituminous asphalt mixtures. A bituminous asphalt mixture is defined as the combination of a hydrocarbon binder, aggregates (including mineral dust) and possibly additives, so that all the aggregate particles are covered by a homogeneous film of binder. It is called hot because the mixture reaches 175 ºC during production.
