Trefolo

For the production of Trafilerie Meridionali's prestressed concrete strands, high-strength steel wires derived from cold-drawn wire rod with a high carbon content (0.82% on average) are used. The strands consist of 6 wires helically wound around a central wire of slightly larger diameter with a winding pitch of 14/18 times the nominal diameter of the strand.
