3-layer oak engineered flooring
The product studied in this EPD is a 3-layer Oak flooring. There is a top layer made of 3 mm of sliced oak, and a core and a bottom layers made of poplar wood, making up a total thickness of 14 mm. The flooring base raw materials are 9 mm Poplar block and 2 mm poplar veneer, the poplar core and poplar bottom are used for the flooring base, all the materials are hot pressed together with glue in high temperature.
The flooring length is 2200 mm, and the width is 260 mm. The weight of each piece of the product is 4.66 kg, and has a density of 544 kg/m3.
This solid wood flooring has many features:
- Sound insulation. Solid wood flooring material is hard, wood fiber structure is meticulous, low thermal conductivity, sound insulation and heat insulation effect, better than cement, ceramic tiles and steel.
- Humidity regulation. Solid wood flooring wood characteristics are, when the climate is dry, the wood will release moisture inside; when the climate is humid, the wood will absorb moisture in the air. By absorbing and releasing moisture, solid wood flooring regulates indoor air humidity to the most comfortable level for the human body.
- Warm in winter and cool in summer, in winter, people walk on the wooden floor without the feeling of cold; in summer, the room temperature of the solid wood floor is 2-3℃ higher than the tiles.
- Green and harmless, solid wood flooring materials from the original forest, the use of non-volatile wear-resistant paint coating, from tree species to paint are green and harmless.
