RSS Guardrail 4m/cc– N2/W5

The purpose of the guardrails is primarily to minimize the extent of damage to people and property as much as possible in run-off-road accidents. The guardrails are designed so that upon impact, the vehicle is directed along the guardrail until it stops, or redirected back onto the roadway. The RSS 4m/cc guardrail system consists of W-profile steel rails mounted horizontally on vertical sigma steel posts with center distances of 4 m, along with fastening kits and joint bolts. The W-profile has a thickness of 3 mm and the sigma post has a thickness of 4 mm. The steel quality for both products is Q235(S235) and is galvanized according to EN ISO 1461. The RSS 4m/cc is a CE-marked system and has a Certificate of Constancy of Performance 0402-CPR-SC0449-14. Containment level N2, Normalized working width, class (m) W5(1.7) Normalized dynamic deflection, [m] 1.5. Impact severity level A. Resistance to snow removal class 3. Post distance: 2.0 m / 4.0 m. Guardrail height above road surface: 0.70 m. Beam height above road surface: 0.55 m (center of W-profile). Longitudinal beam: W-profile (A-profile). Sigma steel post length: 1950 mm. Post embedment: min 1.2m (in soil).
