Trocellen® IS (5MM & 10MM) Trocellen® HIS (3MM, 5MM & 13MM)

Trocellen Ibérica, S.A. has been manufacturing products and materials for Impact Sound Insulation in its plant in Alcalá de Henares for more than 40 years, currently having two main ranges of materials:

- TROCELLEN IS: Materials made of closed cell cross-linked polyolefin foam (polyethylene, etc.) with optimum efficiency in Impact Sound Insulation.

- TROCELLEN HIS: Materials made of closed cell cross-linked polyolefin foam (polyethylene, etc.) with excellent effectiveness in Impact Sound Insulation.

The Trocellen range of products for acoustic insulation against impact noise is manufactured in closed-cell cross-linked polyolefin (polyethylene) foam, obtaining a product in the form of a flexible sheet with an elastic structure, which works as a shock absorber applied in a mass-spring-mass system, making these products ideal for the reduction of sound produced by impacts.

Cross-linked, closed-cell polyethylene foam forms a mechanically resistant surface and volume. During cross-linking, the polymer molecules (polyethylene) are connected by chemical bonds, forming a branched structure from the linear carbon chain, thus creating a more durable three-dimensional structure. The strength of this cross-linked structure gives the material even greater stability. Closed-cell cross-linked polyethylene foam does not react with most chemicals and is not vapor permeable and absorbs virtually no water. Its vibration damping effect is particularly high.

TROCELLEN Impact Sound Insulation sheets are designed to be installed in horizontal partitions in buildings, performing the function of an elastic spring, breaking the transmission of vibrations between rigid elements.

The lifespan of these products is 50 years, being considered the same as the useful life of the building.
