STORFLUX NATURE is a biobased bitumen additive to impede the aging of bitumen in asphalt mixtures for the reuse of reclaimed asphalt. The ageing of bitumen decreases its properties. Rejuvenating agents have a regenerating effect on the ageing of bitumen and improve its properties. The quality of bitumen is a key element for the use of secondary asphalt granulate. Even with heavily aged binders and a high quantity of reclaimed asphalt added, high-quality asphalt mixes can be produced with the rejuvenators. The advantages of rejuvenating agents are the regeneration of aged bitumen, precise reduction of the softening point (ring and ball) and a reduced amount of virgin bitumen needed. These aspects lead to higher competitiveness and independence through reduced costs for material construction. The positive effects for the environment relate to reduced carbon emissions and conservation of resources.
