Laminated HUD Coated Windshield 2.1/1.6 mm manufactured in Germany for the Automotive Market

A Windshield of a car, or another vehicle, is the front glass window through which the driver looks.

This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD®) describes the environmental impacts of 1 kg of Laminated HUD Coated Windshield and its packaging manufactured in Germany and to be used in the automotive market.

It is composed of two glass sheets: one Saint-Gobain Glass PLANICLEAR® and one Saint-Gobain Glass Coated PLANICLEAR®. They are bonded together using a polymer sheet of standard PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral).

The HUD system (Head-Up Display) makes driver and vehicle information easily accessible by creating a virtual image in front of the car. Without taking the eyes off the road, drivers are informed about important data such as current speed, speed limits, navigation data or engine warnings. The combination of perfectly matching inner and outer glass panels and a customized wedged PVB ensures the sharpest HUD image possible.
