Erasteel conventional High-Speed Steels
- Erasteel conventional High-Speed Steels (HSS) are primarily used for machine materials at high cutting speeds.
- Erasteel produces a wide range of HSS grades which vary in their alloy composition. They are complex iron-based alloys of carbon, chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, or tungsten, or combinations thereof, and in some cases contain substantial amounts of cobalt.
- Erasteel HSS are manufactured with conventional steel melting processing which includes ingot solidification, forging & rolling, heat treatments and final quality inspections.
- HSS grades serve various industries such as automotive, mechanical engineering, aerospace, tool steels, die and moulds.
