This Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) outlines the attributes of a representative unit: the 1 m² double insulating glass unit. This selection is based on production volumes, with double glass comprising 95% and triple glass 5%. Crafted with precision, these glass products are manufactured at THERMOPLASTIKI’s facility in Amigdaleonas, Greece.

The flat glass manufactured by THERMOPLASTIKI is transformed into double and triple insulating glass units, with total thicknesses ranging from 23mm to 45mm. These units feature a transparent metal coating on the inaccessible surface of the glass pane placed inside the space. Combined with argon noble gas between the glass panes, they offer outstanding thermal insulation, preventing heat loss while effectively managing solar heat. Additionally, they control UV rays, allowing sunlight to enter freely, maintaining room temperature, and reducing heating or cooling costs year-round. The solar frames, transparent from the outside, resemble standard double-glazed glass panes, with components like desiccants, space bars, diffusion holes, glass itself, and thermally applicable butyl sealants optimizing functionality. These products cater to various settings, including residential, office, commercial, industrial, and retail buildings, offering reliable solutions for diverse applications.
