Sharjah Cement Factory: Ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS)
The EPD represents the environmental impacts of GGBS manufactured by Sharjah Cement Factory. GGBS is beneficial in mass concrete applications by reducing the heat of hydration, thereby minimising the risk of thermal cracking. The cement adheres to BS EN 15167- 1 and ASTM989M standards.
