Firesafe FT Seal Pad

This EPD concerns FIRESAFE FT Seal Pad. FIRESAFE FT Seal Pad is used in plastic electrical wall boxes and ceiling boxes fitted in fire-rated walls and ceilings of flexible constructions to satisfy fire-resistance class EI 60 – EI 180. FIRESAFE FT Seal Pad consists of an intumescent graphite material that rapidly expands at a temperature of approx. 200 °C to 10 times its original size, sealing the plastic box in the event of fire. The product’s dimensions are 50 mm × 50 mm × 6 mm, therefore taking up very little space within an electrical wall box or ceiling box. The product is sold per box containing 10 units. This EPD only concerns one unit of Seal Pad.
