CEM II/B-S 42,5 N

CEM II/B-S 42.5 N is a Portland cement with the addition of granulated blast furnace slag, containing 65% - 79% of clinker. It is produced in accordance with the EN 197-1 standard.

It is characterized by high initial and final strength, with moderate heat of hydration. The increase in strength occurs at a later age of concrete (after 28 days), and it has reduced shrinkage tendency and crack formation. It has excellent workability properties, and due to its lighter colour, it is suitable for combining with different pigments. Thanks to the addition of high-quality slag, it has enhanced resistance to aggressive media.

It is recommended for producing versatile concrete, for road construction and infrastructure (tunnels, viaducts, bridges), construction of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings, underground foundation and subbase works, and soil stabilization. Additionally, it is suitable for producing finished concrete elements, reinforced and prestressed concrete in normal and thermally treated production, as well as for transport and pumped concrete. It is suitable for the construction of industrial floors, screeds, and concrete pavements.

It is particularly suitable for the construction of demanding engineering structures and infrastructure projects using high-grade concrete. Also, it is suitable for producing concrete with high durability requirements, waterproof concrete, and those resistant to freeze-thaw cycles and de-icing salts. Moreover, it can be used for the construction of reinforced concrete structures exposed to the sea and/or de-icing salts.
