Il cemento composito CEM V/A (S-P) 42,5 R è un materiale inorganico finemente macinato, composto da materiali essenzialmente di origine naturale differenti tra loro, ma di composizione statisticamente omogenea. È un legante idraulico che, opportunamente dosato e miscelato con aggregato e acqua, reagisce dando origine a una massa progressivamente indurente, caratterizzata dalla proprietà di legare solidi inerti, come sabbie e ghiaie, per formare i conglomerati cementizi, i premiscelati e le malte, componenti base di ogni struttura edile.

Cement CEM V/A (S-P) 42,5 R is a building material (Construction Products Regulation ‐ EU Regulation 305/2011), produced in compliance with the harmonized European standard EN 197/1 laying down composition, features and conformity criteria for common cements. Cement is an inorganic material composed of finely ground small granules of different substances but with a statistically homogeneous composition. Cement is a hydraulic binder that produces a reaction when mixed with the appropriate quantities of aggregates and water, forming a substance that gradually hardens and can bind solid inert materials such as sand and gravel to produce cementitious conglomerates, ready‐mixes and mortars, which constitute the basic building materials.
