EDGE stands for Enhanced Digital for Greater Efficiency and includes several technologies upgrades. A two-speed condenser motor enables low-speed operation under light loading conditions, thereby conserving more energy. A digital scroll compressor optimization reduces energy demand by providing both digital loading and unloading along with other enhancements. and refined evaporator fan geometry with an enhanced fan profile and fine-tuned blade pitch for optimized airflow. OptimaLINE™ delivers a step-change in efficiency and sustainability across multiple operating conditions. Building on the PrimeLINE® these units contain four additional technologies. First, a variable frequency drive that works with ML5 controller to ramp up or ramp down compressor speed to achieve and hold required temperature, for optimum efficiency at full or part load. Second, a variable speed compressor that operates at the proper speed and torque to match the load required by the system conditions. Third, a permanent magnet motor which provides greater efficiency compared with a standard induction motor. Fourth, an economizer circuit valve, an electronic expansion valve, along with the two-speed condenser fan, optimizes efficiency during all operating conditions.
