Precast Concrete Product - Linear structural elements
Five different shape pre-stressed linear concrete element with identical manufacturing processes and materials with different sizes and width.
Columns are vertical elements designed to receive vertical loads and transmit them to the foundations. They are most commonly square or rectangular but can also have other polygonal shapes or be circular, depending on the mould in which they are made. They receive the beams that support the slabs and transmit through them the loads that affect the entire area of influence of the column. Area is ranged from 40x40 cm to 140x80 cm.
Slab Beams are linear construction elements that mainly work in flexion and are usually supported on cantilevers or column heads. They are elements in which length predominates over the other two dimensions and their main function is to support the slab elements, such as hollow-core slabs. JR type section is ranged from 40x30 cm to 60x150 cm, JTI section is ranged from 70x30 cm to 90x140 cm meanwhile, JL section is ranged from 55x30 cm to 75x50 cm.
Raised roof beams are the ideal type of precast beam for the execution of industrial buildings with ridged roof but no intermediate columns in the central space, since they incorporate the slope of the beam. The slope of the beam is 10%.
Roof I-beams are the ideal type of precast beam for the execution of industrial buildings since they provide the slope that the project requires by being supported on columns at different heights. I-beams width is ranged from 35.5 to 70 cm meanwhile heigh is ranged from 85 cm to 140 cm.
Finally, Y-beam roof is one of the most sought-after on the market because of its high aesthetic value. Thanks to its characteristics, large spans can be achieved offering great stability and capacity to drain rainwater. It is widely used in commercial buildings and sports centres as it enables the roof element to be left exposed, eliminating the need for roof straps. The Y-beam can also be supported on the column head, eliminating channels, since the same beam acts as a gutter for conveying water to the ends of the building and connecting it directly with the drainpipe.
All the elements speed up delivery times and provide buildings with stability, resistance and durability. They are also easy to recycle. For all these reasons, they have become an essential element in current architecture.
The concrete used in their manufacture is HP-50 and the steel is type Y1860 S7. It is possible to manufacture them with other types of concrete and steel if the project so requires.
