Asphalt mixtures from Roma Grus asphalt plant, Etelhem Gotland

Roma Grus AB supplies products in the area of building materials and offers ancillary services related to construction and contracting activities. 

The products included in this EPD are asphalt mixtures manufactured by Roma Grus in the asphalt plant in Etelhem Nygårds, north of Etelhem on Gotland, Sweden. 

The declared asphalt mixtures produced at the plant in Ethelhem are ABb 16, ABS 16, ABT 11 and ABT 16. The asphalt mixtures are intended to be used as paving material. The products consist of a mixture of aggregates, penetration bitumen, recycled asphalt and additives. The amount of each component varies depending on the asphalt mixture.

Since asphalt mixtures comprise valuable resources and are 100 % recyclable, they are recycled into new asphalt mixtures. Accordingly, recycled asphalt pavement is normally added to the asphalt mixture, replacing virgin aggregate and virgin bitumen. The share of recycled asphalt in the asphalt mixtures declared varies between 0–20 weight percent.
