High barrier Mono PET film for packaging applications

The High Barrier Mono PET is a coextruded mono PET with an oxygen scavenger that inhibits the passing through of the oxygen molecules within the film. The product is designed to be converted into trays/pots and containers and used mainly for packaging food products.

The High Barrier Mono PET film is manufactured in different thicknesses varying within the range: 200 μm – 800 μm. This EPD covers PET film with high barrier of 250 and 450 μm thickness:

• PET HB-250 μm (AMBAR 38HB TS MY250);

• PET HB-450 μm (AMBAR 38HB TS MY450).

This material is easily thermoformable for the production of trays for modified atmosphere gases (MAP) and food packaging. The PET HB-250 μm is suitable to pack for example processed meat and ham products. The product PET- HB 450 μm is ideal to pack fresh pasta and meat.

The declared unit is 1 m2 of film.
