Dry ground calcium carbonate (GCC-Dry) Ultrafine - Sector EPD

Calcium carbonate is an natural mineral. The formula is CaCO₃and covers a raw material, which is widespread throughout nature. However,although the deposits are plentiful, only a few are of sufficiently highquality to be worked and even a fewer number of deposits will provide rawmaterials for industrial and agricultural use other than the construction androads building industry. Only if the purity, degree of whiteness, thickness andhomogeneity are acceptable, commercial extraction can be worthwhile. Afterquarrying, further treatment is required to process natural calcium carbonatesof the highest quality, known generically as Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC)into final products.
