Sidenor Steel Group operates 4 Steel Mills using the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) production route, with a total capacity of 3.600.000 TN/year of liquid steel and equivalent rolling capacity.
It has 3 ports, 16 distribution points, 6 manufacturing plants in 4 countries and about 2.500 employees.
Being the biggest steel recycler in Southeastern Europe, SIDENOR shows an ongoing commitment towards greener production and greener projects.
SIDENOR offers a complete building system ensuring quality, low cost, fast service and safety under the brand SD - Integrated Reinforcing System.
The Group’s main production facility for reinforcing steel is Sovel’s plant in Almyros, Central Greece.
Sovel produces reinforcing steel from recycled pre-consumer and post-consumer scrap using the EAF steel-making route.

- Hot-rolled weldable reinforcing bars and coils, marketed under the name SD Concrete Reinforcing Steel
- Electro welded wire mesh (fabric), marketed under the names SD Stirrup Reinforcement Mesh, Sidefit Special Mesh and SD Wire Mesh
- Reinforcing steel cages, marketed under the name Sidefor
