Aluminium Profile

Aluminium Profile is an extruded semi-finished metallic product manufactured by Kenan Metal A.Ş. at its extrusion plant in Ergene, Tekirdağ, Türkiye, by hot extrusion of 6000-series (EN AW-6xxx) aluminium billet cast in the company's own casthouse from a fully recovered metallic charge. The profiles are delivered with a chromate conversion pre-treatment and an organic polyester powder coating. The declared product has a total recycled content of 98.7 mass-% according to ISO 14021 (97.7 mass-% post-consumer and 1.0 mass-% pre-consumer).

Production is carried out through the following controlled processes:

Billet reception, inspection and cutting to log length

Billet pre-heating in natural-gas fired furnaces

Hot extrusion through the die, with press quenching

Stretching, cutting to length and artificial ageing

Surface pre-treatment: alkaline degreasing and chromate conversion coating

Electrostatic application and thermal curing of polyester powder coating

Inspection, packaging and dispatch

The profiles are supplied to the construction sector for window and door systems, curtain walls, façade and cladding systems, railings and structural glazing. They are characterised by a controlled and reproducible chemical composition and mechanical properties, dimensional accuracy and consistent surface quality, corrosion protection provided by the conversion coating and the powder coating, and full recyclability at the end of life without loss of material properties. The chemical composition is verified by spectrometric analysis in the casthouse.

The declared unit is 1 tonne (1,000 kg) of aluminium profile. The declared results represent the average of the entire aluminium profile production of the site in the reference year 2025, extruded from one alloy family on a single production route; a reference service life is not declared, as it is determined by the building system in which the profile is installed.
