THRACE Weather Protection Covers

THRACE Weather Protection Covers are UV-stabilized polypropylene needle-punched nonwoven fabrics used for the protection and storage of agricultural materials, including straw, hay bales and silage. The products are breathable and hydrophobic and are intended to provide protection while allowing ventilation of the stored material underneath the fabric. They are not designed to function as waterproof membranes.

The products are manufactured by Thrace Nonwovens & Geosynthetics S.A. at the Magiko production site in Xanthi, Greece. The manufacturing route includes polypropylene staple fibre production, needle-punched nonwoven fabric production and conversion into folded packs. The product family covered by this EPD includes WPC115, WPC140, WPC160, WPC200, WPC300, WPC400 and WPC500.
