Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) with melamine coating
Kronospan MDF products are Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) panels used as building material for a substitute for timber in non-load-bearing walls, ceilings, partitions, cladding but also for furniture, doors and packaging. The MDF products are a wood-based panel consisting of three layers of resin-bonded wood particles that are pressed into board format under high pressure and heat. Subsequently, a layer of melamine paper is added. These panels come in several variations and thicknesses. The range of thickness is between 3 mm to 40 mm. The weighted average of the mass per volume of the MDF panels is 792 kg/m3. The products are installed manually. No maintenance is required to reach the reference service life of the product, which is 50 years.
