Bare and Tinned Copper Bunched Conductors
The products covered by this EPD comprise Class 2 bare copper bunched conductors and tinned copper bunched conductors manufactured in accordance with IEC 60228. The product family includes conductors with nominal cross-sectional areas ranging from 0.5 mm² to 630 mm², intended for use in power and control cables, earthing systems, and other industrial electrical applications.
The manufacturing process begins with high-purity electrolytic copper rod, which undergoes multi-stage wire drawing to achieve the required wire diameter. The drawn wires are subsequently stranded (bunched) and annealed to obtain the specified electrical and mechanical properties. For tinned copper bunched conductors, an additional electrolytic tinning process is applied to enhance corrosion resistance and solderability.
