THRACE Polypropylene Staple Fibers (natural color)

Polypropylene staple fibers are synthetic fibers produced from polypropylene resin through extrusion, spin-finish application, crimping, cutting, baling or pressing, and related fiber-forming processes.

The product covered by this EPD is Thrace Polypropylene Staple Fibers in natural color, manufactured at Thrace Nonwovens & Geosynthetics S.A., Magiko, Xanthi, Greece. The fibers are intended as an intermediate polymer material for downstream nonwoven fabric production, especially needle-punched nonwoven geotextiles and other construction-related nonwoven products.

The fibers are lightweight, chemically resistant and designed to provide suitable opening, crimp and processing behaviour during downstream nonwoven manufacturing. Product-specific technical performance, dimensions and suitability for a specific application shall be assessed using the relevant product datasheets, customer specifications and applicable downstream product standards.
