Bridon® Steel Wire Ropes by Bekaert are precision-engineered for performance and productivity in the world’s most demanding environments. Our portfolio includes both stranded ropes, where multiple strands are laid helically around a core to deliver flexibility and fatigue resistance in dynamic applications, and spiral ropes, offering high structural stability and minimal stretch for more static or structural use. 

Within our stranded constructions, we optimise performance through proven strand designs such as Seale, Filler, Warrington and Warrington-Seale, carefully balancing abrasion resistance with bending endurance. 

Where higher performance is required, our Dyform® compacted strands increase the metallic cross-section and provide greater contact surface area, improving crushing resistance and wear behaviour in multi-layer spooling and high-pressure drum operations. 

At the heart of every rope is its core, selected to match operational demands. A Fibre Core (FC) provides enhanced flexibility and internal lubrication retention. A Wire Strand Core (WSC) offers increased stability, while an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) delivers maximum strength, structural integrity and resistance to crushing. 

For high-cycle and harsh environments, our Plastic Injection (PI) and Bristar® technologies encapsulate the steel core in polymer, sealing lubrication, reducing internal wear and enhancing corrosion protection. By carefully configuring rope type, strand construction and core design, we ensure that Bridon® Steel Wire Ropes by Bekaert deliver the optimal balance of strength, flexibility and durability for their intended application.
