Astral Pro-T and Astral Eco pellets

The declared products in this EPD covers the manufacturing process of the Astral material (Pro-T and Eco). This material is produced from 100% recycled polyAl derived from post-consumer Liquid Packaging Board (LPB) waste. For this report, the worst-case scenario has been considered, assuming a masterbatch content of 1.5%. Therefore, this EPD covers the upstream processes and core processes. Regarding upstream stages, these take place outside T Sabater facilities, including the collection of municipal waste, sorting at the treatment plant, and the mechanical recycling of LPB. Whereas the core processes are carried out in T Sabater facilities, corresponding to the manufacturing of Astral Material from the polyAl waste.

Astral Pro-T is intended for high-end recycled injection applications like PP components within the automotive sector, while Astral Eco is intended for less strict applications like profile extrusion (as compared to PP), blow moulding (as compared to HDPE) or compression moulding with resins for outdoor/garden furniture or the like.
