Galvanized Coils (GHR&GCR) - EAF Based

EAF-based Galvanized Steel Coil is a flat steel product manufactured by hot-dip zinc coating applied to pickled hot rolled steel or cold-rolled full hard steel produced via the Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steelmaking route. Within the scope of this EPD, the product is supplied as Galvanized Hot Rolled (GHR) when produced from EAF-based PHR, and as Galvanized Cold Rolled (GCR) when produced from EAF-based CRF.

The zinc coating provides corrosion protection to both surfaces of the steel strip. Surface quality class A or B can be achieved, and surface condition may include chromate treatment, oiling, or organic coating in accordance with customer and standard requirements. The product is supplied in coil form and may be further processed through slitting, cut-to-length, or profiling operations.
