Icopal Base 550 P Sand

Icopal Base 550 P is used as a lower layer in a two-layer waterproofing system from BMI Icopal, made for roofs with particularly high demands on the waterproofing. The system consists of an upper layer (Top) and a lower layer (Base), both based on SBS-modified bitumen. SBS increases the elasticity of the waterproofing layer and provides increased joint strength and service life. Two separate waterproofing layers provide a good protection against leakage. 

The top side of Base 550 P is covered with sand and on the bottom side there are grooves with syntan. Base 550 P is used on substrates where pressure equalisation is required, e.g. on wooden decks.
