PRE-PAINTED HOT-DIPPED ZINC COATED STEEL COIL

PPGI steel coils are used for construction, infrastructure, and home appliances. This is an EPD of multiple products, based on the average results of the product group, covering the various steel widths and thickness and thickness of zinc coating given in the table below. Site level data of inputs and outputs were collected for the product group as a whole and used in the LCA, therefore creating an average for variants within the group, with 100% coverage.

Hot dip galvanized coated steel sheet coil (GI) is cold rolled steel coated with zinc. It offers high corrosion resistance and is frequently used in construction, civil industry, and home appliances. Pre-painted steel sheet in coil (PPGI) is manufactured from the steel base GI with the finish paint coating on both sides. The basic oxygen furnace (BOF) steel used for manufacturing of GI and PPGI contains 12.25% recycled content.
