RailMat 30 recycled rubber mattress

The system under study is the production of Railmats products by Rubbergreen in Frameries, Belgium (7080, Route de Bavay 44).

RubberGreen’s extensive mat solutions now include the Ballast Mat Damper, the Slab Mat Damper, and the SonicMat range, each serving distinct purposes in railway infrastructure and construction projects.

The Ballast Mat Damper is a versatile solution, reducing vibration noise in ballasted tracks, extending ballast life, and mitigating impact forces on structures. Suited for tramways, subways, and urban train lines, it’s available in different thicknesses, shapes and densities in order to address expected performances: low density and wavy shape for vibration insulation, higher density and flat shape for impact force reduction on structures. This line of mats complies with DIN 45673-5 and EN 17282 standards.

The Slab Mat Damper excels in Mass Spring Systems for embedded and ballastless tracks, significantly reducing urban vibration levels. Its adaptability with single or double layers makes it suitable for diverse applications, tested according to DIN 45673-7 and EN 17682:2022 standards. This mat withstands wet conditions, offering unparalleled resistance to frost and fatigue.

The SonicMat range, designed for construction, is composed of high-grade recycled rubber granules from tires bonded with a PU elastomer. Specifically created to isolate screeds from the building structure, it effectively reduces impact energy generated by general footfall. The wavy surface on the bottom side enhances isolation performance by reducing dynamic stiffness, increasing air movement, and dissipating energy in channels.

RubberGreen's Comprehensive Mat Solutions redefine industry standards, offering tailored solutions for both railway infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring optimum performance and longevity.
