Gorka Benito Alonso

Gorka Benito Alonso

Gorka is project manager in IK INGENIERIA, a consultancy company with 15 years of experience in Life Cycle Analysis and sustainability strategies in companies. They created the first EPD in Spain the year 2007 and have been involved with EPDs since then, developing more than 60 EPDs and participating in the creation and update of 10 PCRs during these years. Gorka has been involved in more than 100 LCA, ecodesign, circular economy and sustainability management projects, he was approved as EPD Individual Verifier the year 2011 and now is part of the "Technical Committee" of the "International EPD System".

María Cristina Alonso

María Cristina Alonso

María Cristina Alonso has been a member of ISO Technical Committee 207 (SC1) since 2008, being one of the Spanish representatives in the international working groups responsible for the development of the ISO 14006:2011, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 14004:2016 standards. She also collaborates with the Asociación Española de Normalización, as a member of the UNE Standardisation Technical Committee 150.

She is currently working at AENOR INTERNACIONAL S.A.U. She has 20 years of experience as a Lead Auditor of Management Systems (Quality, Environment, Ecodesign and R&D) and also as an EMAS Environmental Verifier.

Iñigo Aizpuru

After 12 years in environmental consultancy, Iñigo Aizpuru works since 2019 as a technician in Ihobe, the Basque Environmental Agency. He provides support to the Basque Ecodesign Center and to the Basque Ecodesign Hub, the two key tools of the Basque Government to deploy life cycle thinking and Environmental Product Declarations among Basque companies.

Imola Bedő, policy officer in the Environmental Footprint team. Her main responsibilities are related to policy development, communication of Environmental Footprint information and contributing to the work on the development of PEFCRs in the transition phase.

Tobias Brinkmann

Tobias Brinkmann

Tobias Brinkmann is managing director of brands & values GmbH, a small consulting company that has been active in sustainability consulting for 13 years now. As a classical engineer for environmental technology he has been working on the measurability of ecological impacts of products for more than 20 years.  In 2018, his team conducted a stakeholder analysis regarding the topic "Benefits, expectations and fulfilments of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs)". To facilitate a better understanding of EPDs, his team has developed the "EPD Analyzer". Among other features, the web tool allows EPDs to be evaluated and calculation of EPD Benchmarks for internal purposes. 

Francisco Campo

Industrial Engineer (Mechanical Design) by the School of Engineering of Bilbao (UPV-EHU). He has more than 15 years of experience in the development of Ecodesign projects, Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Eco-innovation, as well as in sustainable building projects, with accredited training as a "Breeam Advisor" for Housing. In recent years he has worked extensively in the field of Environmental Product Declarations, both in the development of many of them for different industrial companies and sectors, as moderator in the creation of new PCRs or acting as individual verifier

I have been working on sustainable topics for 10 years and I am currently a LCA practitioner for all activities of the Saint-Gobain Group covering Glass, mortar, insulation, gypsum and Pipe activities.

Jori Coustillas holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering and Life Cycle Assessment from École Nationale Supérieure des Arts & Métiers, Paris, France. He's first joined PRé a Consultant, running LCA projects and developments of custom LCA tools for customers. Now, as Product Owner of the SimaPro family, he is dedicated to bringing simple but not simplistic LCA tools to the market, maintaining the strong scientific basis and transparency of SimaPro and providing reliable communication solutions

Christian Donath Christian Donath

Christian Donath worked as civil engineer at Hochtief for a decade. He was founding CEO of the German Sustainable Building Council DGNB and Board member of the World Green Building Council. He serves as Managing Director of ECO Platform - a European initiative for harmonization of Environmental Product Declarations.

Since 2010 he is self-employed offering services for Real Estate Owners and Product Manufacturers in the fields of digital communication and sustainability. With BIM Sources he offers Product Manufacturers smart solutions for digitalization, including innovative visualization, smart product data management and exchange.

Elin Eriksson

Elin Eriksson

Elin Eriksson is Director at IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute and the Chair of the Board of Directors at EPD International.
 
Working with LCA and its applications since 1990, she has been the Swedish representative in the Technical Advisory Board (TAB) during the EU Product Environmental Footprint pilot phase. She has together with colleagues at IVL developed one of the largest and most experienced LCA expert groups in Northern Europe.

Kristian Jelse 

Kristian Jelse

Kristian Jelse is a Senior Advisor to the International EPD® System, as well as Sustainability Consultant and owner of Greendesk AB. His background is a MSc. in Industrial Ecology and Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology. Since 2008, Kristian has been promoting life cycle thinking in different industries and through different roles. Until recently he was the Programme Manager of the International EPD® System and led the work in the Secretariat, which he joined full-time in 2013.

Oliver Kusche

Oliver Kusche

After having conducted extended research on distributed data management concepts for LCA data at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) for over a decade, Mr. Kusche is currently director and owner of consultancy company Oliver Kusche Research & Consulting in Germany, where he is leading a team of software developers and is working for clients around the globe with focus on open source software systems for generating, quality assuring and sharing LCA data. In addition, he is co-founder of and serves as Chairman of the Board at cloudEPD AS, a startup based in Norway which provides a cloud based software platform for the generation, verification, approval and publication of EPDs. 

 

Mr. Kusche is a founding member of the InData Working Group, an international working group with the objective of establishing an open web based international data network for EPD data using a common data format.

Jean-Pierre Pigeolet

Jean-Pierre Pigeolet

Jean-Pierre Pigeolet is Products and Buildings Sustainability Manager at Knauf Insulation as well as member of the LCA working group at EURIMA (the European Insulation Association). He has 20 years of experience in sustainability topics for public and private sectors and more than 10 years in LCA. 
In Knauf Insulation, he succeeded to build and certify an EPD process that is encompassing step by step all European Knauf Insulation plants.
He is also specialized in Building Rating and Reporting Systems like BREEAM, DGNB, LEED, LEVEL(s) etc.

Eva Schmincke

Eva Schmincke

Eva Schmincke makes use of more than 25 years of experience as a consultant in Life Cycle Management. Transforming technical results into business practices explaining risks and opportunities is her approach to sustainable innovation. Communication of best practices by labels, declarations or other information transfer tools is a special focus.

She holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Tuebingen University and has taught LCA at the University of Forestry in Rottenburg for more than 15 years. After several years at Öko-Institut Freiburg developing product assessment tools her consultancy in Tübingen covered development and communication of LCA results, in co-operation with Thinkstep AG in Stuttgart. Today she is chair of the product section in CEN TC 350, Sustainability of Construction Works, member of the Advisory Board of IBU (German EPD program operator for construction products) and works as verifier for IBU. She is also a founding member of the ECO Platform, of DGNB, and GEDNet. She works as a consultant for the German Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development, various industries, as well as for German environmental NGO as a translator of standards to practice in sustainable construction.

Sebastian Welling is Operations Director for EPD International, programme operator of the International EPD System. Leading the operational work within the programme and the Secretariat, Sebastian works with providing solutions for the market to communicate the enviromental performance of products. As member of the InData Working Group, he is Chairman of the Editorial Board of the InData Working Group.
