Hi! How did you arrive at a lifetime of 5 years?
I am doing LCA on the lamp and the RSL of the LED is obviously longer than that of the lamp (fittings). So I need to find an RSL for the lamp as such...

the lifetime is an average figure and has been estimated taking into account usage data related to modems and home gateways deployed by a number of european operators.
After this mean time modems at customer premises are replaced due to failures or technology evolutions and upgrades, in both cases causing the final disposal of the product as electronic waste (WEEE).
In the case of the LED lamps you could search for average usage data or consider claims from manufacturers, very often indicating, for promotional purposes, the lifetime extension related to LED technology choice on websites or products packages/datasheets. Best regards

Thanks, We have now made an estimation for the lamp that is actually in line with the technincal lifetime of the LED.
Based on user statistics it could be reasonable.

In an LCA on something similar to Router, we know that the RSL is 2,3 years.
In your PCR you use the term Life span which should be 5 years.
Does it mean that we should set the RSL to 5? Or should we calculate the number of products needed in 5 years (2) and use the electricity consumption during 5 years.
