LCA on cotton

by: 26 June 2018, 2:28:13 PM (GMT +1)

Please consider one of our more recent reports on textile, available at http://esu-services.ch/data/public-lci-reports/lcidownload/
1) Biodiversity is key
2) Carbon sequestration is not applicable to textiles.
3) Health hasards of workers at farms is crtical.
4) Adress indirect landuse change
5) Yield and water (irrigation) must be site specific.
Looking forward to the dawn of a good PCR on this!

Thank you for this comment!
In the PCR we have set the production of fibres in the Upstream part which means that it will be allowed to use database data for cotton cultivation. However, we can keep these comments as recommendations in the selection of data. Kind regards, Sandra

Dear Mattia,

There is currently no EPD for T-shirts published in the International EPD System. Fristads just published the first EPDs for apparel. You can find them via the "EPD search" here on the website.

Best regards,

Kristian Jelse, Secretariat
