Thanks for starting an PCR on this.
I have not yet read the draft. But maybe you can answer anyway.
In an LCA on Plate Heat Exchanger, we found that it is crucial to consider the wider scope.
A system expansion could include the pumping of the fluid through the heat exchanger.
Basically, the better the quality of the heat exchanger and fluid, the less energy is needed to run the pump.
So I suggest that energy required for pumping is included in a rudimentary way at least.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, you are right to point out that the pump is important part of the system in terms of efficient delivery of the fuel. However, pumps and similar machineries are handled by a specific PCR. It is best to keep this PCR for the "heat transfer fluids", i.e. chemicals or chemical solutions. At the end of the day, the property of the heat transfer fluids makes a difference in the energy efficiency of the system it is used.
