PCR information

This PCR is published and valid for a European scope. A draft Australasian Annex is under development and currently available for open consultation.

This Annex is a regional (Australian) PCR appendix and a draft was available for open consultation until 2018-12-04. Review and publication dates are preliminary and subject to change.

This document describes additional Product Category Rules for the assessment of the environmental performance of the product category asphalt mixtures (UN CPC 1533 & 3794). It outlines additional criteria to the main PCR for asphalt mixtures (PCR 2018:04 version 1.01; date 2018-10-10) published by the International EPD System (https://www.environdec.com/PCR/Detail/?Pcr=12328) for setting out the parameters to prepare an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD®) according to ISO14025 and EN15804.

This PCR is for Asphalt Mixture. It can be applied for a particular asphalt mixture, from a specific asphalt plant with a specific production temperature. Hence, the design of the asphalt mixture is necessary to produce the specific EPD. The approach taken for this PCR may also be considered applicable and adaptable for other bitumen based products.

This PCR aims for compliance with the EN 15804 standard.
