Electricity from Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant

This nuclear power plant is a base-load plant of the Swedish electricity system and is tuned to the consumption of electricity, running at maximum power output during the cold part of the year and at reduced power during the summer. A nuclear power plant is, however, unable to control its power output as flexibly as a hydropower system, which is able to instantly track the consumption of electricity.
