An increasing attention on climate change has driven the demand for new ways to provide information on products and services climate impact. Purchasers and consumers are asking for information to make climate conscious purchase decision.
The international EPD®system have introduced the concept of "single-issue EPDs", as a digest of an entire EPD with the ambition to adjust the information into a simpler format in order to better meet to various market and customer requirements. The climate declarations is one type of “single issue” EPDs. The International EPD®system offers all organisations that have registered an EPD a climate declaration for the same product.
