Wasa is a bakery company founded in 1919 in Sweden, and has been part of the Italian Barilla Group since 1999. Plant and process
Wasa Rågi Original is baked in the Filipstad plant, where a typical bakery process takes place. The raw materials included in the recipe are mixed together in to dough and baked in specific ovens. Following baking, the products are packaged and shipped to distribution centres for market entry. The plant has about 300 employees.
