The Botnia Line presents the first EPDs in the world for a railway line - 8 EPDs that cover transport and infrastructure.

The EPDs was developed using the PCR for Railway transports and infrastructure

The Botnia Line, a new Swedish railway running from Nyland (north of Kramfors) to Umea in northern Sweden have issued eight EPDs covering railway infrastructure and railway transports. The aim the EPDs is that they should provide transport buyers, stakeholders and decision makers with objective and reliable information on the environmental impact of rail transport. These are the first EPDs of their kind, taking both the infrastructure and the transport service aspects into account.
